This pastel landscape painting scene above was captured at the Bellingrath Gardens in Alabama right after a nice gentle rain. I named it "After the Rain" because of the calmness of the water, the clean, clear colors, and the beauty it communicated.

If you love the look of pastel, you will really love the vibrancy of pastel pencils on suede board. The creamy appearance of the pencils, the beautiful colors they create, and the sturdy adherence of the pastels to this suede surface, make this one of my favorite ways to create art.
